Prince William has many roles to fill as a royal and future king, however, not all of them are completed in the public eye. Ahead of the Duke of Cambridge's 40th birthday on June 21, a series published by the Daily Mail has given an insight into the life the future monarch has outside of what we already know.
The series states that the Duke of Cambridge makes several, secret visits to accommodation services run by Centrepoint. Centrepoint is a charity that supports young homeless adults aged between 16 and 25. It is reported that Prince William was first introduced to the charity by his late mother, Princess Diana.
While William is publicly affiliated with the charity, having become a patron in 2005 and spending the night sleeping rough in 2009 to raise awareness, the second-in-line completes several tasks behind closed doors.

CEO Seyi Obakin told the Daily Mail: "On one occasion, he spent a week with us, turned up and was presented as a locum staff. He even rang up the benefit office on behalf of one young person. That was an education for him!"
Introducing himself just as 'William', he explained to the benefits office operator that he was calling on behalf of a young homeless person to identify what financial help they were entitled to. He was then taken through the forms, proof of ID, and multiple barriers young homeless people must navigate just to get back on their feet.
"When someone said to him he looked like someone famous, William just smiled and replied: 'I've heard people say that, but don't believe it!' And then he carried on working." Seyi explained. "He was so low-key, just turning up and doing his thing, that only the manager knew who he was.
"It is a measure of who he is that, by the time he got married, he had developed such a good relationship with that particular manager that he invited them to his wedding."
