Prince William has 'not forgotten' Prince Harry's 'private' birthday Duke of Sussex spent with Meghan

Prince Harry celebrated his 38th birthday yesterday with his wife Meghan yesterday, following a very emotional week for the Royal Family. Members of the Royal Family have been enveloped in a very busy schedule, with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex amongst those paying their respects to the Queen through ceremonies and vigils following her death last week.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex arrived in the UK earlier this month for the first time since celebrating the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee in June. It's no secret that there has been tension between the Sussexes and other members of the Royal Family in the past few years, but Harry and William have seemingly put their differences aside following the death of their grandmother, The Mirror reports.

Harry and Meghan joined the Prince and Princess of Wales on Saturday, September 10, for a walkabout outside Windsor Castle, where scores of mourning members of the public had left touching tributes to the Queen. Both brothers and their wives then spoke to members of the public, and accepted their condolences.

While William appeared to not spend Harry's birthday with him, The Sun reports that the heir to the throne reassured crowds at the Sandringham Estate yesterday that he had not forgotten his brother's big day. It is believed that Harry made the decision to celebrate the day privately with Meghan.

"It is his birthday today - you’re absolutely right, it is," William said to one well-wisher.

When he was asked if he'd forgotten, William laughed: "No, I’ve not forgotten."

Harry and Meghan were not at William's Adelaide Cottage home in Windsor, it's understood, although exactly how they celebrated it remains largely unknown. Meanwhile, it's thought William and Harry sat down for dinner together after receiving the Queen’s coffin at Buckingham Palace this week.

The royal brothers have long been reportedly estranged from one another since Harry's split from the Royal Family two years ago. But after they received Her Majesty's coffin Tuesday evening, reports surfaced claiming the brothers, along with Kate and Meghan, sat down for a family meal.

The intimate get-together is thought to have taken place at Buckingham Palace. Before the dinner, the Sussexes joined the working royals at Buckingham Palace to receive the coffin from Scotland. The couple looked sombre as they drove past thousands of mourners in a black car, where the Queen’s coffin was being transported by a hearse. Prince Harry will wear his military uniform on Saturday in a special tribute to the Queen as he attends a vigil for Her Majesty alongside his brother and cousins.
