Prince William and Kate befriend hilarious grandma 'with no teeth' who left them in stitches

A mischievous gran who met the Prince and Princess of Wales left them both in fits of laugher after their visit to North Wales. Prince William and Princess Kate had been speaking to royal fans outside of Holyhead Lifeboat Station when they came across the witty grandma who welcomed them with the Welsh expression ''bore da!'', which translates to ''good morning'', the Mirror reports.

The subject of the conversation soon moved onto the Royal couple's three kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis to which Prince William jokingly said, ''we're looking for a babysitter.'' Returning the light-hearted mood, the amusing gran responded: 'I would, but I've got no teeth'', to which an evidently humoured Prince William replied, ''that doesn't matter.''

The unnamed joker even clasped hands with William and Kate during their chat and confessed she had forgotten to bring them a gift, explaining “I’ve forgotten the Welsh cakes in the rush on the A55. I thought s***, the royals are coming to Holyhead." The Prince and Princess of Wales eventually began moving slowly down the line to greet others who were eagerly waiting to see them. However, the unnamed woman wasn't done with their conversation just yet, calling them back to introduce them to her first grandson.

Enjoying her company, Prince William told the proud nan: "Do you know what, we’d have a lot of fun together. I can see a real budding friendship, (between) you and me." Being completely comfortable with the royal couple, the woman even gave the next in line to the throne a playful push, clapping happily as he burst out laughing, before warmly clasping his hands around hers.

Beaming, the woman told the future King: "I love you, you’re just so real", adding, " Diana would be so proud." Before heading off to greet others, Prince William said: "Lovely to meet you, we’ll chat again next time we’re up."

The Prince and Princess of Wales arrived in Wales for the first time this week since receiving their new titles. They will now be paying more regular visits to the country as part of their new roles, and it's expected they will return before Christmas.
