Prince Louis 'may not attend Coronation ceremony' - but will join in on balcony

His adorable antics saw him steal the show during the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

So royal fans are keen to see what Prince Louis will get up to at the weekend during the Coronation of King Charles.

However, given his tender age of just five, it has been reported that he may not be there to see his grandfather crowned in Westminster Abbey.

At the Coronation, which takes place on Saturday, Louis' older brother Prince George will have a starring role as a page of honour.

Meanwhile, his sister Princess Charlotte, who turns eight tomorrow, is expected to watch proceedings from the congregation.

However, according to The Telegraph, Louis may not join his older siblings and parents the Prince and Princess of Wales for the ceremony - owing to his age.

But that doesn't mean he will be staying away from the celebrations completely - as the publication adds that he will join up with his family to take part in the procession from the Abbey back to Buckingham Palace.

It is then believed he will join in with other royals for an appearance on the palace balcony to watch the spectacular RAF flypast.

Last month, when Louis turned five, two adorable new photos were released of the young prince to mark his birthday.

One snap shows the smiling youngster wearing a blue woolly jumper, shirt and blue shorts while sitting on top of leaves and grass and holding on to the wheelbarrow, as Kate laughs.

The other is a close-up of the beaming prince, showing how quickly William and Kate's youngest child is growing up.

The third of his five grandchildren, Louis clearly has a special bond with his grandad the King.

The first glimpse of their close relationship came in 2020 on Louis' second birthday when Charles marked the day by releasing a touching photo of him hugging the then-toddler.

But it was at the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations when the heartwarming grandad-grandson relationship was clear to see.

As the royals all watched the Jubilee Pageant unfolding outside of Buckingham Palace, a restless Louis asked to sit on his grandpa's knee and sweet pictures show the youngster being bounced up and down by the now-King.

One royal fan tweeted: "Prince Charles and Prince Louis have the best bond."

"Lovely to see Prince Charles in grandpa mode with Prince Louis today!," wrote another.
