For a couple that is looked up to as an ideal one, Yuvika Chaudhary says there’s a lot that goes on beyond the loved-up posts of husband Prince Narula and her. “It feels good to know that people see us as an ideal couple, but there is a lot of hard work to maintain it,” she said on the sidelines of a fashion show in Chandigarh. She added, “We are pretty real and don’t want to project ourselves as superhuman. Like a sweet and salty couple, we fight, argue, and have difference of opinion, but at the end of the day love completes us, and we can’t stay away from each other.”
At times though, she likes to have fun teasing him. “For someone who dresses up in a relaxed style, he takes his time to get ready,” she said, adding, “He changes 10 times, seeking my approval for every change, like a baby. It’s sweet that he cares about my opinion and works out to look good saying, ‘baby, you look so good that I have to put in effort to match up’. Sometimes he gets a little insecure if I wear something revealing. I like teasing him and just walk out the door blowing a kiss at him (laughs). Ours is quite a Tom and Jerry kind of relationship.”
Professionally, Yuvika is deliberating over acting projects. “Prince and I were doing so many music videos that I had to take a break. I want work that makes my soul feel nice, not just to look good. Away from this bubbly image, I want roles where I feel challenged that this is not me. There is a time when we want to do everything, but now I want to give a performance.”
