Prince Harry was the one who "didn't protect" Meghan Markle, according to a royal expert.
Jennie Bond - who was a royal correspondent for the BBC for over a decade - appeared on ITV's Good Morning Britain today where she spoke to hosts Ranvir Singh and Adil Ray about the next three episodes of Harry and Meghan's Netflix documentary, which have just dropped this morning with no doubt a string of more bombshells.
Prince Harry has "absolutely no regrets" over his Netflix show, with a source close to the prince saying he was "delighted" to see the first three episodes of the documentary air last Thursday, despite days of negative headlines since.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain, she said: "What I would like an explanation for is why she was so ignorant, so utterly unprepared for royal life. You say you're surprised by that but apparently the palace have countered by saying she was given a dossier of what's what. There were ladies in waiting explaining to her.
"But beyond that, why did she need flunkies or courtiers to tell her, goodness me, Harry is a member of the Royal Family. Harry knows. Why didn't she just say, eh Haz how does this happen. Why didn't Harry protect her?"
In a recent trailer, it was claimed Meghan Markle became a "scapegoat" for the Palace to block stories about other royals. Friend and Meghan's lawyer Jenny Afia spoke in the trailer as pictures were shown of Buckingham Palace.
The lawyer says: "There was a real kind of war against Meghan, and I've certainly seen evidence that there was negative briefing from the Palace against Harry and Meghan to suit other people's agendas."
Meghan's friend Lucy Fraser follows on as pictures of the palace continue to be shown by saying: "Meg became this scapegoat for the Palace. "And so they would feed stories on her, whether they were true or not, to avoid less favourable stories being printed."
Meghan is then shown telling the camera: "You would see it play out. A story about someone in the family would pop up for a minute, and then they'd go 'we got to make that go away'. But there is real estate on a website homepage, there is real estate there on a newspaper front cover, and something has to be filled in there about someone royal."
An image is shown of photographers taking pictures of Meghan during her baby shower in New York as Ms Afia adds: "This barrage of negative articles about the breakdown of her relationship with her father was the final straw in a campaign of nasty coverage."
