Prince Harry was seen dashing off in a car straight after the coronation ended to get home to his family on his son's birthday. The Duke of Sussex was there to see the crowning of his father, King Charles III, and his wife Camilla at Westminster Abbey on his own while his wife Meghan Markle is at home in California with their two children.
Prince Archie is celebrating his fourth birthday today and Princess Lilibet turns two next month. Prince Harry, who earlier this year released his tell-all memoir Spare, was smiling as he arrived at the Abbey. He he was seated next to his cousin Princess Eugenie's husand Jack Brooksbank and Princess Alexandra, the cousin of his late grandmother the Queen.
According to a lip reader, Prince Harry told Jack he would be leaving at "about quarter to four." It was reported that he would board a commercial flight back to the States, missing a family lunch at Buckingham Palace.

Prince Harry, the fifth in line to the British throne, announced in January 2020 that he and his wife were stepping back from their role as senior members of the royal family.
In March, Prince Harry made a surprise visit to the UK to attend a court hearing as part of his claim against Daily Mail publisher Associated Newspapers over allegations of unlawful information-gathering. It was his first visit to the UK since the Queen's funeral and just weeks after the publication of Spare, which went into detail about his troubled relationship with his father and brother.
Supporters were pleased to Harry appearing on good form at the service. @gayleLackey11 cheered on Twitter: "All smiles and unbothered by the noise looking fresh, happy, smiling and heading home ASAP to be with his son on his birthday. You go Prince Harry!!"
@lilacbeagle said: "Great to see Prince Harry today." @Muqadaam tweeted: "Prince Harry flying back to US to be with his family. Good on him." @sue07243764 said: "Keep smiling Prince Harry." And a supporter from New York tweeted: "Come back home Harry."
