Prince Harry has said that he has settled into life as a celeb in the US, revealing that the millionaire community has been "great" to himself and wife Meghan.
The Duke of Sussex appeared to make a dig at the UK as he said that they had been "welcomed with open arms".
After stepping down as senior royals in 2020, the couple moved to their £11m mansion in Montecito, California, to gain a new life of financial and personal freedom.
Appearing on NBC's Today show, he told presenter Hoda Kotb: "Home for me now, for the time being, is in the States and it feels that way.
“We’ve been welcomed with open arms and have such a great community up in Santa Barbara.”
He also spoke about his recent secret visit to the Queen last Thursday and said that she was "on great form" but that he wanted to make sure she was "protected" and had "the right people around her".
Harry and Meghan had flown to Windsor from their home in the US before heading over to The Hague in the Netherlands for the Invictus Games.
The Duke of Sussex said: "Being with her it was great, it was just so nice to see her, she’s on great form.
“She’s always got a great sense of humour with me and I’m just making sure that she’s protected and got the right people around her.
“Both Meghan and I had tea with her, so it was really nice to catch up with her.”
It comes days ahead of the monarch’s 96th birthday on Thursday and just over a year after the funeral of her husband the Duke of Edinburgh.
The Invictus Games were Harry and Meghan's first trip since they quit the royal family and they were followed by a Netflix crew during their time at The Hague, as part of their £100m deal with the streaming giant.
Prince Harry's Today show interview airs on Wednesday.
