Prince Harry has a close relationship with David Foster, who is seen as a 'father figure' to him. The Duke of Sussex was snapped playing polo in California on Saturday, while Meghan and the children stayed at home.
In attendance at the Santa Barbara Polo and Racquet Club were his friends David Foster, 72, and his wife American Idol runner-up Katharine McPhee, 38. It is reported that composer David, who is a year younger than Prince Charles, has played a pivotal role in Harry's life and is considered his 'other father'.
As reported by the Mirror, David also helped the Sussexes' to find a home in Canada before they eventually moved to California. Katharine explained how he helped Harry and Meghan find their multi-million dollar mansion in Canada, telling Access Hollywood : "David is the resource guy.

"He knows all the places. He loves to help people. We just hope they end up somewhere where they feel like they can really settle down."
While the Duke of Sussex has seen his relationship with Prince Charles deteriorate over the last few years, his relationship with David has grown since moving to the US. Katharine admitted the Duke and her husband have a special bond, saying in May 2020: "My husband has a really, really beautiful relationship with Harry. They're so cute. They're like father and son."
David has also played a key role in finding private hideaways for Christmas holidays. He had previously organised a secret holiday for Meghan's mum Doreen and then-seven-month-old Archie by using his contacts and knowledge.
In a strange coincidence, Katharine attended the same Catholic school as Meghan. However, The Duchess was already at high school by the time Katharine was at the Los Angeles middle school.
Katherine attended a school called Immaculate Heart and admitted to starring in a couple of school musicals with Meghan but were never 'close friends'. However, after performing in Waitress the musical in London, she and her husband David struck up a friendship with Harry and Meghan and have remain in contact ever since.
