Prince Harry has 'no idea' where he will be sitting at King Charles' Coronation amid reports he will be shunned by being put 10 rows away from the royals.
Since Harry confirmed he will be attending the historic event, there has been much speculation about how he will feature in the day, including where he will sit in Westminster Abbey. I'm A Celebrity star Paul Burrell, who is the former butler to the late Princess Diana, mused the idea that Harry will be 10 rows back to prove a point.
The Duke of Sussex was reportedly very concerned about the coronation seating plan, which was why he confirmed his attendance passed the RSVP date. However, one royal source has claimed Harry is completely in the dark about his seat and slams the 10 rows-back speculation as untrue.
An insider told Page Six: “Harry has not been told where he’s sitting yet, but I highly doubt that [it’s as far back as the 10th row].
“Harry’s going to show up to support his dad. All I know is that it’s a stretch to ask much more for him … he doesn’t have any sort of agenda other than just getting in and getting out."
“Harry’s heard nothing from Buckingham Palace for the seating,” another insider told the publication. “For the most part, I think all parties will be focused on making the day as special as possible for the king.”
Despite being estranged from the royals, Harry and Meghan Markle were seated in the second row behind Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, at the Queen's funeral in September. The couple were also in attendance at the late monarch's Jubilee in June 2022 but were not permitted on the Buckingham Palace balcony as they were no longer working royals.
Speaking to GB News about the coronation seating plan, Paul Burrell said: "It is not a surprise, he is coming to show face. He is coming to put his foot in the door and he is coming because his father wants him to be there.
"His father will be delighted that both his sons will be there to witness this incredible day in his life. But Harry is not going to hang around."
Speaking to Dan Wooton, he added: "He doesn't want to spend much time around them. There is no chance of a reconciliation anytime soon, I'm afraid - I think he will get a very icy reception from the Windsors."
