The Duke of Sussex was said to believe he and Meghan Markle could support causes independently. A source claimed Harry made it “very clear” that the palace “will not control” them. The claim followed a letter sent to UK officials on King Charles’ behalf. It also came before a subsequent withdrawal from Uganda’s participation in the Invictus Games.
