Prince Harry claps back at Charles and William for 'no genuine apology' after showdown talks

Prince Harry has taken aim at King Charles III and Prince William after 'no genuine apology' was offered following showdown talks between the three.

As 2020 opened, Harry and his wife Meghan Markle decided to leave behind their lives as working Royals, to relocate to the USA to start afresh.

However, in March 2021, the high-profile couple made headlines worldwide once more for their damning allegations against the Royal Family during a fiery interview with Oprah Winfrey. Just weeks later, the prince flew back to British shores to attend the funeral of Prince Philip, who passed away April 9 - leaving Harry's grandmother Queen Elizabeth II widowed.

The Express reports that during the final episode of the new Netflix series, Harry chatted openly about returning to the UK for his grandfather's funeral. He was asked on camera: "Tell me about going back."

Harry replied: "It was hard. Especially spending time, having chats with my brother and my father, who just, you know, were very much, focused on the same misinterpretation of the whole situation. So neither… none of us really wanted to have to talk about it at my grandfather's funeral, but we did.

"And you know, I've had to make peace with the fact that we're probably never gonna get genuine accountability or a genuine apology. You know, my wife and I, we're moving on. We're focused on what's coming next."

Earlier in the same episode, the Duke of Sussex was seen visibly upset after viewing a text message sent by his older brother following his famous Oprah Winfrey interview. He showed the message to Meghan, saying: "I wish I knew what to do," before the Duchess tightly embraces her husband.

Buckingham and Kensington Palace today said that they will not be commenting on allegations made by Harry and Meghan in the latest episodes of the docuseries.
