Prince Harry’s new memoir is said to contain a story which highlights a fierce argument between himself and William where his brother branded Meghan “difficult”, “rude” and “abrasive”. The Express reports that the row took place in the kitchen of Nottingham Cottage, known as “Nott Cott”, which is in the grounds of Kensington Palace.
In the book, titled ‘Spare’ - which comes out on January 10 - it is reported that William arrived ‘piping hot’ for the conversation and wanted to talk about their relations with the press, something he allegedly described as a ‘rolling catastrophe’. After William criticised Meghan, Harry reportedly says he hit back, accusing him of “parrot[ing] the press narrative” about Meghan and that he had hoped for better from his brother.
He also accused William of not being rational, which saw the pair begin to row, and Harry supposedly told his brother that he was acting like the heir. He was also reportedly unable to understand his struggles and dissatisfaction with being the spare.

During the heated confrontation, the pair 'threw insults at each other', with William allegedly telling his younger brother that he was trying to help him. Harry supposedly replied: “Are you serious? Help me? Sorry – is that what you call this? Helping me?”
Prince Harry has claimed the royal family want to keep him and Meghan as ‘the villains’ in a new interview with ITV in the run up to the publication of his new book. The upcoming interview is fronted by broadcaster Tom Bradby, who Harry has known for more than 20 years.
The pair’s Netflix docuseries caused huge controversy with Harry complaining that he was shouted and screamed at by William at a crunch meeting. He also accused his father King Charles III of not telling the truth.
With ‘Spare’ being published soon, the Royal Family is reportedly bracing itself for yet more criticism from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. In a teaser for the new ITV interview Harry says: “They feel as though it’s better to keep us somehow as the villains. They’ve shown absolutely no willingness to reconcile.”
Harry: The Interview airs on ITV1 and ITVX at 9pm on January 8.
