Prince Harry has blasted claims that he told a friend "those Brits need to learn a lesson" ahead of his bombshell chat with Oprah Winfrey.

A spokesman for him and wife Meghan Markle said that to accuse the duke "who spent 10 years serving his country" is an "attempted distraction" as he has "never spoken ill of the British public".

Harry and Meghan's chat with Oprah saw them level allegations of racism against the Royal Family and claim that it had ignored Meghan's cries for help when she was suicidal.
