Prince Harry and Meghan Markle raised eyebrows when they pleaded for privacy but continued to publicise their every move.
However, it seems that the Duke of Sussex is now set to take heed of his initial request and attempt to avoid the spotlight where possible.
The pair's Spotify contract was axed after just one series recently and their Netflix deal is said to be stuttering. But while the former Suits star, 41, is seemingly searching for her next move, it's thought Harry, 38, is happy taking a back step.
When it came to his role in Spotify's Archetypes was said to be minimal, with Meghan apparently sorting the podcast's guests. According to Bloomberg, Harry had suggested interviewing Vladimir Putin, Donald Trump and Mark Zuckerberg about a number of traumatic experiences.
Meghan has since signed a new deal with celebrity management guru Ari Emanuel at WME, with it reported to be a solo deal without Harry included. She is said to be looking at a string of commercial endorsements in fields such as food, wellness and fashion.
The move leaves the path clear for Harry to turn back to his passion and charity work, with the prince said to be ready to go solo on a trip to Africa for a documentary. It's a journey that will match that of his mum, Princess Diana.
He is said to be close to completing a documentary, which has been commissioned by Netflix, about his charity for servicemen, Heart Of Invictus. However, in his home over in the States, he is rarely seen in the celeb circles that his wife has been accustomed to, with Harry seemingly keeping his head low away from the cameras, according to MailOnline.
The publication notes how socially, he is involved with a group of polo-playing friends at the Los Padres team in Santa Barbara. It comes as old pals of the prince say he has "disappeared" from their lives, but this appears to be a move that suits Harry.
And he's also been seen as the typical family man stateside, celebrating Fourth of July with his two-year-old daughter Lilibet.
It's not the first time he has commemorated Independence Day stateside in the years since his move abroad with his wife. It's thought both Meghan and son Archie were also at the celebration.
His actions are showing he is preparing to turn his back on his wife's apparent famed lifestyle, but the move seems to be one which is best suited to each's needs.
