Prince Harry has confessed he "got into a lot of trouble" with Meghan Markle when they first started dating.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were first introduced to each other over Instagram and then went on a 'blind date' to Soho House in London.
There were always going to be cultural differences when a British royal began a relationship with an American actress - and it caused some issues for the pair.
In a hilarious Q&A on US chat show The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, which was filmed earlier this year but has only just been released, Harry made the admission about a transatlantic barrier with Meghan.
After revealing his favourite sandwich is a cheese and ham toastie with Dijon mustard on top, there was some confusion with host Stephen about what he meant.
Harry had to translate what a "toastie" using a "toasting machine" is, explaining that Americans would recognise it as a "grilled sandwich" or "panini press".
The Duke of Sussex then admitted he struggled with American and British terms when he first got with Meghan.
"I have to be so careful with these questions as the Americanisms to Britishisms is very different," he explained.
"It got me and my wife into a lot of trouble in the beginning of our relationship."
Harry then confessed the word "fanny" is most upsetting, which means bottom in America but something a bit more intimate to Brits.
As the audience giggled, the prince then joked: "I was going to talk about BAH-sil and BAY-sil."
The duke also said he took issue with "sidewalk" instead of "pavement" and "horseback ridding" instead of just "horse riding".
"Where else are you going to ride the horse," he asked before impersonating someone trying to grab hold of a horse's belly, adding: "That instantly becomes a meme."
Elsewhere in the Q&A, Harry said his favourite action movie is Gladiator and confessed one thing he should really throw out is his ripped boxer shorts.
Other answers included him declaring 'cockpit' when asked whether he preferred a window or aisle seat and he would like to be reincarnated as an elephant.
In one hilarious moment, Harry said the animal he feared most was snakes, then looked down at the floor to jokingly check.
He ended by saying his favourite smell was Meghan and five words to describe his future would be "freedom, happiness, clarity, space and love".
Harry also revealed details of a hilarious drunken encounter with England's World Cup winning rugby team - and they are all completely naked.
He begged the players for an autograph, including Mike Tindall, who would go on to become his cousin-in-law when he married Zara Phillips in 2011.
When the prince was asked whether he had ever requested an autograph, he said: "Yes, the England rugby team in 2003.
"At the World Cup final after a few drinks wearing an England rugby top, I was going 'Jonny, Jonny, Mike, Mike, Lawrence come on sign my shirt'."
The players in question are Jonny Wilkinson, Lawrence Dallaglio and Mike Tindall, who had just beaten Australia in the Rugby World Cup final in Sydney.
Harry added: "And they’re all there standing naked with their willies hanging out but I got all 15 signatures and was really happy with that."
