Prince Charles calls Jamal Edwards 'an inspiration' in tribute after his sudden death

Prince Charles has shared a heartfelt tribute to late music producer Jamal Edwards.

The SBTV founder died on Sunday at the age of 31 after a 'sudden illness', his devastated mum Brenda Edwards confirmed.

Following Jamal's tragic passing, music and TV stars alike, including Dua Lipa, Rio Ferdinand, and Stacey Solomon have shared loving words about the talented music guru.

And after learning of Jamal's sad sudden death, Prince Charles is the latest to weigh in on the tragedy.

"Thinking of the family of Jamal Edwards today," Prince Charles wrote on Twitter.

"His work in music but also as an ambassador for a new generation, including his work for The Prince’s Trust, were an inspiration to so many."

Jamal, who was credited with helping launch the careers of stars like Jessie J and Dave, was the eldest of Loose Women star Brenda's two children.

Thanks to his impressive achievements and career, Jamal was appointed an MBE for services to music in 2014.

The late star was also an ambassador for the Prince's Trust, a youth charity run by the Prince of Wales which helps young people set up their own companies.

"It is with the deepest heartache that I confirm that my beautiful son Jamal Edwards passed away yesterday morning after a sudden illness," Brenda penned.

"Myself, his sister Tanisha and the rest of his family and friends are completely devastated. He was the centre of our world.

"As we come to terms with his passing we ask for privacy to grieve this unimaginable loss. I would like to thank everyone for their messages of love and support.

Charlene appeared to choke up as she gathered herself and continued: "Last night, both Judi [Love] and I were with Brenda and she told us she wants today's show to celebrate her son's achievements, but she also wants us to make her smile and to chuckle, so we'll be aiming to do that today as well."

She and Judi were also joined by Linda Robson, Carol McGiffin and Frankie Bridge on the panel as later spoke more about Jamal and supporting Brenda last night.

Charlene said that the news had hit everyone who knew Jamal hard and said that they "wanted to do Brenda proud".
