Prince Andrew's daughters reportedly pleaded with Prince Charles to find a new role for their disgraced dad during a meeting in Aberdeenshire. Princess Beatrice, 34, and Princess Eugenie, 32, begged the Prince of Wales to give their shamed father a way back into the royal fold, the Mirror reports.
However, the future King remained unmoved and told them that there is "no chance" the Duke of York will be welcomed back by the Firm, according to reports. Sources also said that Charles is standing "resolute" that the Queen's decision to strip Andrew of his HRH title and royal role must not be undone.
The 73-year-old held a summit with Beatrice and Eugenie over afternoon tea at his residence on the Birkhall Estate in Aberdeenshire. Just days a few earlier, Charles hosted Andrew at the same venue for a 'business meeting', where his brother was given the chance to argue his case, according to The Sun.
Despite hearing out all three, their pleas “fell on deaf ears”, with a source saying: “There’s no change.” Sources have also added that earlier this month, the Duke made a fresh effort to find his way forward with the queen.
It is understood that his whole family - Beatrice, Eugenie and Andrew’s former wife Sarah Ferguson, 62 - are standing by his side throughout his attempts. A source said: “The past few years since he stepped down after the Epstein interview have taken their toll and losing his royal roles has left him with next to nothing.
“His family are close so it’s natural Beatrice and Eugenie want to get involved. They were only looking out for their father and this latest development shows just how intense everything is getting.
“But there will be no return to public royal duty for Prince Andrew.”
Andrew was removed from the royal firm by the Queen in January following a series of controversies regarding his friendship with billionaire paedo Jeffrey Epstein, and sexual assault claims by Virginia Roberts Giuffre, 39.
