Prince Andrew reportedly locked himself in a VIP suite for days to watch porn alone, a new book claims.
His wealthy friends were said to be stunned as he allegedly spent the two day 'porn marathon' in a suite at a Palm Springs estate in California in 1993.
The disgraced Duke - once dubbed 'Randy Andy' was reportedly a guest of Lee Annenberg, wife of former US ambassador to the UK at the time.
According to Tina Brown, author of The Palace Papers; Inside the House of Windsor, Lee was appalled when the Prince made a private visit in 1993 before he “holed up in his bedroom for two days apparently watching porn on cable TV”.
Andrew was staying at 200-acre golf ranch a year after he split from wife Sarah Ferguson, it is claimed.
He recently clung to the arm of his 95-year-old mother, before escorting her to her chair at Westminster Abbey.
Andrew agreed to a £12m settlement with Virginia Giuffre after she accused him of having sex with her when she was a victim of Jeffrey Epstein's sex trafficking.
The Duke has always strenuously denied Ms Giuffre's allegations and the settlement was not an admission of guilt.
Critics saw the high-profile appearance at Westminster Abbey as a brazen attempt by the 62-year-old Duke to slide back into the spotlight following the sex scandal.
It has been suggested that her so-called favourite son tested the water and saw it as a 'springboard' to be given the green light to appear at the Queen's Platinum Jubilee this summer.
That will not happen, according to respected royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams.
In fact, he says there is just no way Prince Charles and William would accept Andrew playing any part in the celebrations.
He told the Mirror: "In terms of royal events, I don't expect we will see Prince Andrew appear in the near future - if ever again.
"He won't play any kind of a role in the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, of that I think we can be quite sure.
"Prince Charles and William will be totally apposed to it, it's a non-starter.
"I do believe what we saw at Westminster Abbey was the Queen allowing him to physically supporting her after she supported him."
The Duke gave no comment when requested by the Mirror.
