It's the start of a new month, and Prime Video is heating up with great new movies to curl up on the couch in the glorious AC this weekend. Prime Video just added over 50 movies in August, but not all of them are worth your precious streaming time.
To narrow down what to watch next, I make a beeline to the streaming service's list of the top 10 most-watched movies. Sure, it cuts through the noise, but how do you separate the movie night hits from the overhyped duds? Because let's be real, just because it's trending doesn't mean it merits a watch. Just look at Prime Video's lukewarm shark thriller at the #1 spot, which has an 18% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.
