Primark shoppers 'running' to snap up £2 hair tools ten times cheaper than GHD

Shoppers have been advising each other to run to Primark for a cheap selection of hair brushes that rival the iconic GHD brand.

The budget fashion retailer has been expanding its beauty department with a range of 'dupes' that are said to be similar to pricier brands. From Chanel to Charlotte Tilbury, there is a lot on offer for Primark fans these days.

Now the retailer is taking aim at a professional hair giant with a range of hair tools that start from just £2. Primark's selection of brushes are said to be 'dupes' for GHD - where a standard paddle brush will set you back £23 at John Lewis and a detangling comb is £9 at Harvey Nichols.

The hair tools recently went viral among shoppers when they were shared to TikTok by a fashion and beauty enthusiast, as reported by the Manchester Evening News.

The video, which has been viewed over 432,000 times, advised shoppers to "RUN to Primark" for its "insane brushes."

The TikTok video showcased five different types of brushes to help style your hair which they described as “really good quality.” The all-pink range includes a £4 Volumising Blow Dry brush, which is a large round hairbrush ideal for creating extra volume. It also comes in a smaller size for £3.50.

Primark also explains that its "must-have" paddle brush, priced at £3.50, is designed to aid blow-drying with its "perforated details for ventilation and soft spike bristles for a gentle detangle".

The retailer’s Super Smooth Paddle brush also costs £3.50 is marketing for smoothing tresses for a "sleek, silky look".

The Dual Sided Detangler comb will set you back £3.50 and you can also get a Double Lift Pick for just £2 that promises to add volume and extra lift.

One user commented on the viral video saying they were “obsessed” and “need them all” while TikTok user Sammie said: “Why do I want these brushes so bad?”

Primark's range of hairbrushes can't be purchased online, so you will need to check your local store for stock availability.
