Bargain beauty fans are rushing to Primark to get their hands on a skincare product that's been compared to a high-end version. The retailer has restocked a primer that is priced at less than a tenth of the cost of a designer makeup brand.
Its 'PS... Vitamin Enriched Moisturising Primer' retails at £4.50 for 45ml, compared to £49 for a 50ml pot of Bobbi Brown's 'Vitamin Enriched Face Base'. Primark describes its version as a "gentle yet effective primer" packed with vitamins E, C and Niacinamide (a type of vitamin B3).
Since its release a couple of years ago, beauty fans have repeatedly drawn comparisons between the two, both in packaging and the product itself with many saying they share a similar silky texture. The more expensive primer has a celebrity following with stars including Molly-Mae Hague and Ferne McCann singing its praises.

Last week Primark Basildon posted a video on social media of shelves lined with the cream-coloured pots of primer in store, writing: "Our vegan and cruelty free moisturising primer is back in stock [heart eyes emoji]. Grab it while you can."
One follower wrote in the comments: "Sold so many of these today!" According to Primark's stock checker online, the item is currently available in 95 branches including Bristol.
An alternative for anyone struggling to find Primark's 'dupe' is the 'Super Base Vitamin Primer' from Revolution. It retails at £10 and has also been compared to the Bobbi Brown original.
Or for those who want to get the 'real deal' but don't want to fork out for the full-sized pot, Boots is selling a 15ml mini on offer for £16.50. One impressed reviewer wrote: "Bought small one to try and it is amazing will definitely buy the bigger one so nice on your skin."
