Primark announces change to Cardiff store and it's good news for shoppers

Primark has announced a big change to its Cardiff branch. The high-street store has confirmed plans to ramp up the rollout of two of its most loved in-store experiences, with the Welsh location benefitting from the expansion.

Following the launch of successful partnerships with Greggs and WornWell by the Vintage Wholesale Company last year, Primark will introduce further concessions in new UK locations. As part of these plans, Primark is extending its partnership with WornWell by the Vintage Wholesale Company, with a new store planned for Cardiff this month.

The partnership offers customers the unique opportunity to shop pre-loved branded and non-branded pieces alongside Primark’s great quality essentials. Previously, WellWorn had only been available in Primark's Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol and London Oxford Street flagship stores.

The Wornwell by the Vintage Wholesale Company concession will open at the Cardiff store on Friday, March 31. Meanwhile, the retailer will open four new Tasty by Greggs cafés in its Newcastle, Bristol, Liverpool and Leeds stores between now and the end of July.

The new Tasty by Greggs cafés and WornWell concessions in Newcastle, Bristol, Liverpool, Leeds and Cardiff are the latest to join a host of other services available in Primark stores as it continues to invest in the in-store experience by introducing new partnerships and services.

The Vintage Wholesale Company director, Riccardo Seaton said: "We’ve been delighted by the positive reaction to our WornWell concessions in Primark stores to date and our vintage dresses, sports sweaters and Y2K collections have flown off the shelves. We’re really excited to be expanding to Bristol and Cardiff, and we’ve even more locations opening soon, so watch this space!"

Director of new business development at Primark, Tim Kelly, added: "Our stores are at the heart of Primark and we’re always looking for ways to bring them to life, giving customers experiences they can’t find anywhere else. Our partnerships with Greggs and WornWell have been two very different partnerships but the customer reaction to both has been fantastic, so we’re delighted to be expanding our partnerships, bringing them to more locations across the UK and offering customers even more reasons to visit their local store."
