Sandwich chain Pret A Manger is hiking the price of its coffee subscription by 20%.
Pret will up the price from £25 to £30 a month from today for new subscribers.
It comes just over a year after the price jumped from £20.
Pret boss Pano Christou blamed a sharp rise in what it was being charged by suppliers.
The cost of crisps had leapt by 125% in the past year, he said, with salmon costs up 40% and pork by a fifth.
Suppliers are also passing on a leap in the cost of energy, he added.
The subscription service, launched in September 2020, allows customers to get up to five coffees a day.
While the price has risen to £30 a month, the service has been renamed Club Pret because it will now include discounts on food too.
Subscribers can get 10% off everything from Pret’s range - including all drinks - with no limits on the number of purchases.
Existing subscribers will get the 10% straight away, with the price remaining at £25 for 40 days.
On cost increases, Mr Christou told The Mirror: “It is challenging. If anything it is more challenging than a year ago.
“Energy costs have rocketed, in particular this year.
“And food inflation is continuing to rise at a very high level.”
As well as energy, he said suppliers were passing on this month’s increase in the National Living Wage.
Pret last month confirmed its third wage rise in the space of a year, with Mr Christou hinted it may increase pay again in the “second half of this year” to help cost of living hit workers.
Pret increased prices for a number of bakery products and bottled water at stores in railway stations and airports this month.
