Pressure on Infantino as Uefa loses confidence over World Cup investment plan

Uefa has lost confidence in Gianni Infantino over the Fifa president’s failed plan to sell World Cup stakes to private investors.

Mr Infantino backtracked overnight on his investment plan, which was rejected by three continental confederations, with Uefa having warned its nations would boycott Fifa events if it went ahead.
