Leeds United dropped into the Premier League’s bottom three on Saturday as they lost 1-0 against Everton at Goodison Park.
Here’s a look at the winners and losers from the game.
Winners
Leeds’ relegation rivals
A miserable, miserable day for the Whites as all three of the teams below them before kick-off won. There can be no arguments about who deserved to pick up the three points at Goodison Park as Leeds simply failed to show up on the day.
Ultimately, Seamus Coleman’s effort was the difference, but the two sides were yards apart. The Toffees’ win means they sit 16th in the Premier League table now. Bournemouth’s victory over Wolves means they have moved out of the relegation zone, too.

Southampton even beat Chelsea and while that wasn’t enough to take them out of the bottom three, they are now just one point behind Leeds heading into next week’s meeting at Elland Road.
Losers
Max Wober
The Austrian appeared to pick up a shoulder injury early in the contest and he never looked comfortable after that. He did make a couple of vital contributions, hooking away a dangerous cross and blocking a Conor Coady header on the line, but he struggled at times, too.
He was eventually taken off at half-time, with Rasmus Kristensen coming on in his place. Wober has done well since arriving at Elland Road last month, but if he has picked up a shoulder injury, he could open the door for Liam Cooper to reclaim his spot in the side next week against Southampton.
Illan Meslier
The goalkeeper won’t want to see Seamus Coleman’s goal back, that’s for certain. Meslier got his positioning all wrong as the full-back latched onto a ball over the top, standing off his line centrally.
He was clearly expecting the cross but he was left flat-footed and helpless as Coleman’s effort from the flank whizzed past his inside post and into the back of the net. The Frenchman did spill a ball in the first half, too, but Junior Firpo got back well to deny Amadou Onana, who hesitated a little too long when the ball came to his feet.
Not Meslier’s best day.
Leeds United
The pressure is well and truly on after what can only be described as a subpar performance at Goodison Park. At the very least Leeds had to avoid defeat against the Blues, but they extended their winless run to Premier League games with another loss to draw them into the bottom three.
Supporters voiced their concerns, pointing the finger at the board and Victor Orta with chants of 'sack the board' and 'Orta, time to go' as Leeds trailed in the game. As such, all eyes will be on the club’s next move as their hunt for a manager goes on.
Leeds still have 15 Premier League games to play, but they simply have to treat finding a new manager as a matter of urgency.
