President Ram Nath Kovind will arrive in the city for the Presidential Fleet Review (PFR) on February 20. He will be received at INS Dega by Governor Biswa Bhusan Harichandan and Chief Minster Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
The PFR is scheduled to be organised on February 21. It will begin at around 9 a.m. at the anchorage point, off the coast of Visakhapatnam.
After the PFR, the President will release the ‘first day cover’ and a commemorative stamp.
While the Chief Minister will return to Vijayawada after receiving the President, the Governor will stay back for the PFR.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will arrive in the city late in the night on February 20 for the PFR.
While the President is scheduled to leave the city on February 22, the Defence Minister will leave after the completion of the PFR on February 21.
Lt. Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands Admiral D.K. Joshi will also be arriving on February 20. Chief of Naval Staff Admiral R. Hari Kumar will be present.
