President Joe Biden's doctor recently released a letter addressing concerns about the president's health, specifically regarding neurologist Dr. Kevin Cannard's visits to the White House. The letter clarified that President Biden has only seen a neurologist during his annual physical examinations and not outside of those appointments.
Dr. Kevin O'Connor, the president's physician, explained that Dr. Cannard conducts regular Neurology Clinics at the White House Medical Clinic to assist active-duty military personnel assigned to White House operations who may be experiencing neurological issues related to their service.
Dr. Cannard is the neurological specialist who has examined President Biden during each of his annual physicals, with the findings of these examinations being publicly disclosed by Dr. O'Connor. The latest health report on President Biden, released in February, indicated that he had been screened for various neurological conditions, including Parkinson's, with negative results.
The letter from Dr. O'Connor was prompted by reports that Dr. Cannard, an expert in Parkinson's disease, had visited the White House multiple times in the past eight months, meeting with Dr. O'Connor on at least one occasion. The White House faced questions about President Biden's neurological health, to which White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre declined to provide details, citing security reasons.
