President Joe Biden will no longer be traveling out west for a fundraising swing this weekend as the campaign works to reschedule the planned fundraisers he was set to headline, a Harris campaign official confirmed.
Although the campaign and White House had not publicly announced Biden's travel, sources familiar with the plans revealed that the president was scheduled to participate in two fundraisers in California and another in Colorado between Friday and Sunday.
The fundraisers will now be rescheduled for a later date, either with Biden or other principals, according to the official.
This change in fundraising plans follows shortly after Biden announced on X that he will address the nation for the first time since he dropped out of the presidential race at 8 p.m. ET from the Oval Office.
