Premier Sports will show Scotland’s Nations League fixtures next month and Euro 2024 qualifiers after announcing national team rights in the UK.
There were fears that that the Tartan Army were facing a blackout for next month’s clashes against Armenia and Republic of Ireland.
That came due to the conclusion of the current Sky Sports deal which ends this summer after the Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
But Premier Sports announced an exclusive deal to show Scotland, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland games.
And it includes all of Scotland’s fixtures, kicking off with their League B, Group 1 Armenia clash at Hampden on June 8 as well as the trip Dublin to face the Republic of Ireland three days later and the return in Glasgow on September 24.
The deal kicks off with the mouthwatering Finalissima between Copa America holders Argentina and Euro 2020 winners Italy at Wembley on June 1, although Scotland will be in action in their World Cup play off against Ukraine that night.
It will see Premier Sports show over 400 games over the course of the two year deal and some live matches and highlights will be available free-to-air.
The broadcaster already has the rights to the Scottish Cup and Premier Sports Cup and CEO Richard Sweeney said: “We are thrilled to be awarded this fantastic package of UEFA National Team matches.
“This summer when the domestic seasons ends, our subscribers will enjoy a feast of international football with live coverage of the UEFA Nations League where every game matters as it provides a potential route to qualification for UEFA EURO 2024. From 2023 we will bring fans every game of their team’s vital qualification process towards UEFA EURO 2024.”
It follows the announcement that Scotland's World Cup and Euro qualifiers will be broadcast exclusively on Nordic subscription service Viaplay from 2024 to 2028.
