The Premier Sports Cup is already approaching its final stages as the last 16 ties are played out this midweek.
After a dramatic group stage which saw Premiership sides St Johnstone and St Mirren on top of 2021 finalists Hibs tumble out, proceedings moved to the next phase and a chance to play quarter-final football. Teams who are already through to the last eight will find out who they will play at that stage as they bid to reach the semi-finals.
Aberdeen survived a scare against League Two side Annan Athletic, eventually winning 4-1 against lower league opposition after being held to a 1-1 draw in normal time. Rangers rotated to secure a comfortably 3-1 win against Queen of the South, while Dundee and Partick Thistle also made it through their ties against Falkirk and Arbroath. Four more ties take place on Wednesday, with clubs such as Celtic, Dundee United, Hearts and Motherwell looking to head into the draw.
