The draw for the Premier Sports Cup Group stage has served up some tasty clashes for Lanarkshire sides - with Clyde facing Premiership side Hibernian among the pick of the matches.
Four Lanarkshire clubs were involved in this afternoon's draw with the Bully Wee, Hamilton Accies, Airdrieonians and Albion Rovers all discovering their fate for the 2022/23 season curtain-raiser.
And Clyde have been handed a tough test with Hibs, now under new boss Lee Johnson, among their clashes in Group D, where Danny Lennon's men will also meet Morton, Falkirk and Bonnyrigg Rose who won promotion to the SPFL from the Lowland League.
Albion Rovers also face a challenging group with Premiership Livingston the top seeds for them in Group G. Brian Reid's men will also play Inverness, Cove Rangers and Kelty Hearts.
Managerless Airdrieonians also take on Premiership opposition having been drawn in Group E alongside St Mirren, Arbroath, Edinburgh City and Cowdenbeath.
Finally, Hamilton Accies - who are in the process of parting company with head coach Stuart Taylor - will take on Championship rivals Dundee, who were relegated from the Premiership at the end of the season. They are in Group H alongside Queen's Park, Forfar and Stranraer.
The exact fixtures will be announced in due course, but the group stages games will take place on the weekend of July 9/10, with other dates on July 12/13, 16/17, 19/20 and 23/24.
The eight group winners and three best runners-up will join the five European entrants in the last 16 of the competition, at the end of August.
The second round is due on August 30/31 and the quarter-finals will be held between October 18-20.
Due to changes to the calendar caused by the winter World Cup in Qatar, the Premier Sports Cup semi-finals will take place on the weekend of January 14/15, with the Hampden final scheduled for February 26.
