Liverpool remain clear on top of the Premier League table after their dominant win with Manchester City on Sunday.
The Reds have now opened up an 11-point gap on the champions after a 2-0 win at Anfield, which leaves them nine points clear of Arsenal and Chelsea.
Brighton edged ahead of City into second on goal difference following Friday’s 1-1 draw against the Saints.
But Arsenal quickly leapfrogged them up from fifth by easing past West Ham 5-2 in a chaotic London derby on Saturday evening.
Earlier on Saturday, Crystal Palace netted a last-gasp equaliser at home to Newcastle to move out of the relegation zone, while Brentford thumped Leicester, Bournemouth brushed aside Wolves and Nottingham Forest edged past Ipswich.
A busy Sunday saw Aston Villa comfortably beaten Chelsea, while Spurs continued their inconsistent run with a draw against ten-man Fulham.
Ruben Amorim, meanwhile, will oversaw his first home game in charge of Manchester United as they thrashed Fulham at Old Trafford.
