At home to Bournemouth, Chelsea sealed sixth by beating Bournemouth, while Manchester United won at Brighton and Newcastle edged past Brentford.
West Ham were already guaranteed ninth place but the final spot was taken by Crystal Palace, after they hammered Aston Villa 5-0 to continue their flying finish to the season.
Everton and Nottingham Forest both ended tough seasons outside the relegation zone. Luton hosted Fulham and fell to one final defeat, joining Burnley and Sheffield United in going down.
