Premier League stars jet away for luxurious off-season getaways after campaign ends

Now the dust has settled on a dramatic Premier League season, a number of players have taken their cue to jet off on their summer holidays.

Liverpool's players won't be able to take off just yet, with their season only coming to an end on Saturday when they take on Real Madrid in the Champions League final. Members of the England squad won't be gone for long, either, with Gareth Southgate's men set for a busy June with several Nations League fixtures coming up.

There's still been time for a quick break for more than a few top-flight players, though, including those from newly-crowned champions Manchester City. Here, Mirror Football rounds up some of the best.

Manchester City record signing Jack Grealish was among those making an early trip abroad. The England international was spotted in Ibiza, where he has been pictured with Wayne Lineker.

Grealish's first season at the Etihad Stadium hasn't been the easiest since he joined from Aston Villa. However, after scoring in the penultimate game of the season and seeing his teammates complete the job against his former club, he has been enjoying himself.

The 26-year-old was a prominent figure in City's title celebrations after lifting the Premier League trophy for the first time in his career. After making a comical contribution to proceedings, he's left the country before making his return for international duty in June.

It hasn't been the best of seasons for Manchester United, but some of their players have been away on their travels, taking the opportunity to recharge. Bruno Fernandes was spotted entertaining his daughter as they jetted off, while Jesse Lingard is also off on holiday and Cristiano Ronaldo posted a photo from a mystery destination on his Instagram account.

Former United man Wilfried Zaha scored Crystal Palace's final goal of the season to consign his old club to defeat. He was spotted tucking into a meal while on his travels.

Dubai is often a popular destination for top-flight footballers, and so it proved again. Thiago Silva made his way to the middle east after Chelsea's season-ending win over Watford, and others may well be spotted there later in the summer.

The Premier League doesn't return until August 6 - a slightly earlier start than in previous years due to the World Cup. However, those with international responsibilities - either with England or other national teams - have a busy June up ahead.

England have four Nations League games in less than a fortnight. They have away games against Hungary and Germany, followed by Italy and Hungary again at home.

There are also a few World Cup qualifiers on the horizon. One of Scotland and Ukraine will face Wales for a place in Qatar, while there are also June play-offs involving Australia, UAE, Peru, Costa Rica and New Zealand.
