As we enter the final month of the Premier League season, Leicester, Leeds United, Nottingham Forest, Everton and Southampton are all in danger of suffering relegation.
While Southampton are currently bottom on 24 points, just the one point separates 19th placed Everton from the other three with all sides having just four games left to play. West Ham, currently four points clear of the relegation zone with a game in hand, could still be dragged back into the fight.
However, Premier League statisticians Opta believe David Moyes' side will be safe and it is only the current bottom five who will be involved in the relegation battle for the remainder of the campaign.
Opta rankings
According to Opta, Southampton have a whopping 98.3 percent chance of going down given they are currently five points behind second bottom Everton. The Saints have lost 22 of their 34 league games so far this season, with their last victory coming against Leicester on March 4.
Everton, meanwhile, have a 68.6 percent change of relegation having only picked up six wins. Leeds United, who are set to sack their manager for the second time this season and make an SOS call to Sam Allardyce, are given a 58.1 percent chance of going down.
Nottingham Forest have a 46.6 percent chance after picking up a huge win over Brighton on Wednesday, while Leicester have been given just a 27.7 percent chance of being relegated after picking up crucial points in their last three games.
The run-in
Southampton are set to face fellow relegation strugglers Nottingham Forest next in a huge bottom of the table clash, with that fixture followed by games against 10th placed Fulham and two teams fighting for European spots in Brighton and Liverpool.
Aside from Forest's crunch game against Southampton, they also face Frank Lampard's struggling Chelsea and second-placed Arsenal before a clash with Roy Hodgson's rejuvenated Crystal Palace on the final day of the season. Everton, meanwhile, face a trip to Brighton next before hosting champions-elect Manchester City at Goodison Park.
They then take on a Wolves side who have lost their last two games and a Bournemouth side who have all but confirmed their safety with huge wins over Leeds and Southampton in their last two fixtures. Leeds are set for a daunting trip to Manchester City next, followed by clashes against third-placed Newcastle, West Ham and Tottenham while Leicester face Fulham, Liverpool, Newcastle and West Ham.
