Premier League plot major season changes that will impact Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham

Premier League clubs are putting the Football Association under pressure to move the Community Shield from its traditional spot as the season curtain-raiser, according to reports.

Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has discussed the idea of the Premier League holding a 'North vs South' all-star game to raise funds and invest into the football pyramid, something that was initially criticised by Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp. There continue to be new ideas put forward by those involved in the game, most notably the rise and fall of the European Super League which led to fan protests and huge resistance from pundits such as Gary Neville.

One area that is being looked at is the FA Community Shield which continues to raise money for charities and grassroots projects. The fixture takes place on the Sunday prior to the first weekend of the new Premier League season in which the reigning champions and FA Cup holders face off against each other.
