Premier League injuries: Every injured player in the Premier League right now

Premier League ball during Arsenal vs Leicester.

Premier League injuries are mounting up, as the season's congestion starts to take its toll on players.

With a rise in injuries of all kinds, Premier League fans are keeping an eye on the fitness issues of their favourite stars. Fantasy Premier League is of course a consideration for many, while the title, European spots and relegation could all be decided by which clubs have the deepest squads.

With an expanded Club World Cup to contend with, it's not just muscular injuries such as hamstring tweaks and contact blows like ankle sprains that have shot up recently. There are more serious problems to contend with, as all this football has been blamed for a sharp increase in anterior cruciate ligament injuries.

This is particularly prevalent in the women's game. ACL injuries in the Women's Super League and beyond are at an all-time high, with very little research into the phenomenon.

Well here at FourFourTwo, we've compiled the ultimate list of the stars who are currently out injured. This is an ongoing list for each club with information about every star at risk of missing Premier League football, as we bring you the latest on injuries across the top flight.

We also cover suspensions here, with any player who picks up a ban being documented in our run-down.

Here are all the injuries affecting Premier League stars right now, with assessments of when they could return to action for their clubs.

Arsenal

Arsenal have several injury problems, ranging from short to long-term. Captain Martin Odegaard, who was injured during September's international break, is expected to be out until November, while Riccardo Calafiori recently suffered a knee injury. Kieran Tierney is edging closer to a return and the mysterious case of Takehiro Tomiyasu continues to trickle on. Gabriel Magalhaes is a new introduction to the treatment room after being forced off against Liverpool.

Aston Villa

With the recent return of John McGinn, Amadou Onana and Jacob Ramsey from short-term injuries, alongside Tyrone Ming's long-awaited return to the bench Aston Villa currently have no injuries - much to Unai Emery's relief.

Bournemouth

Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola (Image credit: Getty Images)

Andoni Iraola's Bournemouth have been struck down by injuries over the past week, with Alex Scott suffering a knee injury after the victory over Arsenal. Turns out the former Bristol City man has suffered a meniscus tear and he is expected to be out until Christmas. Luis Sinisterra has an unknown concern but as well as Philip Billing, isn't predicted to be sidelined for too long. Kepa Arrizabalaga has an issue when striking the ball and is being monitored closely.

Brentford

Brentford manager Thomas Frank (Image credit: Getty Images)

The return of Yoane Wissa — who was Brentford's top scorer in the Premier League last season — will be a big boost to Brentford especially as fellow forwards Igor Thiago and Gustavo Nunes, both summer signings are still resigned to the treatment room. Bryan Mbeumo has performed well in Wissa's absence but has further concerns now in defence with Aaron Hickey, Kristoffer Ajer and Rico Henry all out of action. Josh Dasilva's knee issue continues to be monitored.

Brighton & Hove Albion

Despite making an impressive start to the season, Brighton and Hove Albion's absentee list is continuing to grow at an alarming rate. Lewis Dunk is the latest addition having injured his calf in the warm-up prior to the 2-2 draw with Wolves. Elsewhere, James Milner, Adam Webster, Joao Pedro, Matt O'Riley and Solly March are also sidelined. Summer signing Yankuba Minteh is said to be nearing a return.

Chelsea

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca (Image credit: Getty Images)

It would take a long list to render Chelsea scraping for options, but that is irrelevant for now as they remain relatively injury-free. Reece James recently returned against Liverpool with fellow full-back Ben Chilwell under the weather at present. Omari Kellyman's hamstring issue continues to cause problems for the youngster.

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner (Image credit: Getty Images)

Crystal Palace have six players sidelined at present with thigh issues continuing to veer their ugly heads. Chris Richards and Jefferson Lerma are in the same boat, with Chadi Riad also out with a knee issue. Cheick Doucoure, Rob Holding and Mathus Franca remain sidelined too as the Eagles finally picked up their first win of the season against Aston Villa last time out.

Everton

Everton manager Sean Dyche (Image credit: Getty Images)

Everton suffered a big blow with Dwight McNeil having to be withdrawn in the 1-1 draw with Fulham, with the winger appearing to be holding his knee. Replaced by Jarrad Branthwaite, the 24-year-old has three goals and three assists this season and his omission would be felt on Merseyside. Elsewhere James Garner and Armando Broja remain sidelined for the Toffees.

Fulham

Marco Silva has been blessed with relatively few fitness concerns in the early part of this term, and his Fulham side's current eighth-place position in the table shows that stability pays. Carlos Vinicius, Sasa Lukic and Timothy Castagne all remain sidelined.

Ipswich Town

One of the more bizarre injury tales this season comes courtesy of Axel Tuanzebe. He almost lost his thumb in a freak washing-up accident, requiring surgery to remove a lodged shard of glass, leaving him sidelined for Ipswich Town while he recovers. Let's hope that's him off clearing up duty for a while! A few more names have been added to the treatment room recently, which now includes Jacob Greaves and Ben Johnson.

Leicester City

Leicester City manager Steve Cooper (Image credit: Getty Images)

Leicester City are yet to suffer any real hardship on the injury front since Steve Cooper took over, a factor which may have helped their early escape from the relegation zone. One returnee the Foxes boss will have his attention on is Patson Daka, who played a substantial amount of games in the Championship last season and may be able to take some of the strain away from an ageing Jamie Vardy.

Liverpool

Liverpool manager Arne Slot (Image credit: Getty Images)

Arne Slot hasn't had to spend long in England to learn that when it rains, it pours. Alisson, Diogo Jota, Harvey Elliott and Federico Chiesa are all sidelined for the Reds, serving as a huge wake-up call to how demanding the Premier League can be. Despite that, the Merseysiders are still undefeated and will be looking to reclaim top spot against Brighton this weekend.

Manchester City

Rarely does an injury to one player feel significant enough to entirely turn the title race, but that is precisely the case with Rodri. Manchester City simply do not lose with the Spain international playing, but their record without him is decidedly more patchy. All eyes will be on what magic Pep Guardiola can conjure up for the remainder of the season in his absence. Jack Grealish, Kyle Walker, Savinho and Jeremy Doku have all suffered injuries in the past two weeks, prompting wholesale worry from Pep Guardiola.

Manchester United

Erik ten Hag is gone at Old Trafford and as rumour has it, Ruben Amorim is set to be appointed as his successor at the Theatre of Dreams. Ruud van Nistelrooy is set to take charge in the interim, having led the Red Devils to a 5-2 success over Leicester City in midweek. Still, Manchester United have huge injury issues, with English quartet Mason Mount, Luke Shaw, Harry Maguire and Kobbie Mainoo all out of the picture at present.

Newcastle United

Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe (Image credit: Getty Images)

Newcastle United's transfer window left a lot to be desired after spending the summer chasing, and not signing, Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace. Manager Eddie Howe has cut a frustrated figure as a result so far in 2024/25 and won't have been cheered up any by having to deal with substantial injuries to Sven Botman and Jamaal Lascelles in the Magpies' backline. Anthony Gordon is the latest absentee and could be another huge miss.

Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo (Image credit: Getty Images)

Nottingham Forest have made a promising start to the new campaign, picking up a headline win against Liverpool — currently standing as the only side to defeat the Reds this season. However, injuries in the last few weeks to key men like Danilo and Ibrahim Sangare will not make their current comfortable mid-table position easy to hold. Chris Wood will be watched carefully given his recent goalscoring antics.

Southampton

Southampton manager Russell Martin (Image credit: Getty Images)

With long-term absentee Gavin Bazunu comprehensively replaced by former Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, aside from a quick return to the treatment table for Ross Stewart, Southampton are yet to feel the impact of any significant injuries. The Saints look down and out already, having mustered just one point so far this season.

Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou (Image credit: Getty Images)

Tottenham Hotspur remain in good health following the return of summer signing Dominic Solanke. Attacking issues were the problem but Son Heung-Min missed the last two fixtures against Crystal Palace and Manchester City in the Carabao Cup. The Spurs captain could return for a huge clash against Aston Villa.

West Ham United

West Ham United manager Julen Lopetegui (Image credit: Getty Images)

The only man currently standing between West Ham United and a clean bill of health is summer signing Niclas Fullkrug. He was one of the stand-out names at Euro 2024 and showed enough to tempt the Hammers in. He'll hope his turnaround is swift to repay their faith by opening his Premier League account in the coming weeks.

Wolverhampton Wanderers

Wolves manager Gary O'Neil (Image credit: Getty Images)

The early signs for Wolverhampton Wanderers this season don't look good, both on and off the pitch. Carrying three ACL injuries in Yerson Mosquera, Enso Gonzalez and Sara Kalajdzic, Hwang Hee-chan has added his name to the treatment table as things go from bad to worse at Molineux.
