Manchester City handed major injury boost ahead of Saturday visit from Newcastle United
If there's one squad you wouldn't think would have too many issues with injuries, it's Manchester City. However, recently of late their defensive depth has been tested to its limit as they look to compete for both domestic and European honours.
Regular right back Kyle Walker and stand-in John Stones have both missed time of late with injuries, which even saw midfielder Fernandinho moved to the full-back spot in the first-leg of City's Champions League tie against Real Madrid. And after missing the last five games, Walker looks set to return to the City starting XI for the Champions League and Premier League title, with Pep Guardiola confirming the right-back is back in training after a spell on the sidelines.

“He trained, he'll travel and we decide tomorrow," said Guardiola on the potential return of Walker for City's Champions League semi-final clash against Real Madrid.
"Happy he's back, he tries to be in contention tomorrow.”
Bournemouth return to the Premier League at second time of asking
In what was potentially the biggest non-play-off Championship game in the league's history, AFC Bournemouth managed to overcome a resilient Nottingham Forest side to clinch promotion back to the Premier League at the second time of asking. Heading into the contest, hosts Bournemouth sat second while Forest sat third, knowing that a win would see them leapfrog Scott Parker's side into the automatic promotion places with just a game left to play.
It was a cagey affair for the most part, with neither side seemingly able to find the back of the net in a contest that looked to be heading for a 0-0 draw. However, on as a substitute in the 59th minute, Bournemouth striker Kieffer Moore played the part of super-sub, collecting a deft Phillip Billing pass from a free-kick to fire low past Forest keeper Brice Samba.
"I never wanted the game to be an emotional one, I felt if we turned it into an emotional game it would suit Forest," explained Bournemouth manager Scott Parker.
"It was easier said than done, and we got dragged into that, it became helter-skelter, a basketball game. If we'd shown the same performance second half there would have only been one winner. We've executed second half tonight, we were electric and certainly worthy of the result. My emotions are ecstatic."
Jesse Lingard set for Manchester United exit
Jesse Lingard is set to leave Manchester United when his contract with his boyhood club is up in the summer. Lingard's contract runs out in June and is reportedly feeling let down by the club following his years of service.
The 29-year-old has only started two Premier League games this season, but was an unused substitute in Manchester United's final home game of the season, a 3-0 win over Brentford at Old Trafford. A number of Reds players, Juan Mata, Nemanja Matic and Edinson Cavani were all afforded goodbye's to the Old Trafford crowd, be that through a starting berth or a substitution but Lingard was not given his by interim manager Ralf Rangnick.
Lingard's brother Louie Scott even took to social media to voice his personal frustrations at the decision, stating: "20 years of blood sweat and tears, four domestic trophies, three cup final goals, not even a farewell. No wonder it's Conference League next year."
