Fellow Premier League club Leeds United are reportedly to be showing a keen interest in Liverpool target Matheus Nunes this summer.
According to Portuguese publication Record (via Sport Witness ), Leeds have entered the race to sign the Sporting Lisbon star, whos impressive performances in the Champions League have already cast him under the spotlight.
Jurgen Klopp has recently come out and defended the midfield options he has at Anfield, but interest in Aurelien Tchouameni earlier in the window made it clear that a midfielder could be pursued - if the deal was right for all involved. However, the ECHO also understands Liverpool's business in terms of incomings is over for this summer.

With improving the Reds midfield options a clear priority for Jurgen Klopp over the next few seasons, long term target Jude Bellingham is also often a name linked with a move to Merseyside.
Nunes is of a similar ilk and despite being a few years older than the England international, has showed his capabilities against Premier League opposition already in the past few seasons.
Under contract until 2026 however, Sporting are said to require a fee of around £50million to even consider letting go of their midfield star.
Already capped eight times at international level too, it is not being the realms of possibility for Liverpool to bring in their third piece of summer business, following the arrivals of both Calvin Ramsay and Darwin Nunez already this summer.
