A pregnant mum has been found mutilated with her stomach sliced open following a suspected ritualistic killing, police say. Ohana Karolin, 24, was found dead by authorities in the Mogi Guacu area of Brazilian state Sao Paulo on September 21.
Municipal civil guards were called to the site by passers-by where they discovered the mum-of-three, who was seven months pregnant, wearing only a T-shirt and a pair of flip-flops. According to local media, her stomach had been cut open and her womb ripped out, with a number of coins left next to her butchered body.
It is not yet known how the young baby was affected. Officers suspect the young woman was attacked in some sort of barbaric ritual, but say they are continuing to investigate all areas of enquiry, the Mirror reports.
