RTE star Blathnaid Treacy has revealed she will not be taking too much maternity leave when she welcomes her little girl this summer.
The 2FM DJ and her musician hubby Charlie Moon are set to become parents in four weeks pending the arrival of their little girl.
But Blathnaid revealed she won’t be taking too much time off and will most likely be back to work by the end of the summer.

She said: "It’s hard, especially in this industry, it is kind of tough because we’re not staff. I work for myself, I’m freelance so I’m going to take the summer. I’m due at the end of June and I’ll take the summer and then I’ll see how I feel. I’ll be back on the Lotto in September and then possibly be back on the radio in October. I’m just going to play it by ear though. I could be wrecked, I don’t know."
Charlie will also not experience too much down time with the new arrival as he is busy working.
"It’s funny… when he’s working, I’m free so hopefully we will be alright. We’ll be okay."
Speaking at this year’s Platinum VIP Style Awards, Blathnaid said she is "so excited" to meet her little girl.
"I actually can’t wait. I’m looking forward to giving birth, I mean what an incredible experience and also the fact that I’m so lucky – a lot of people aren’t able to get themselves in this position so I do feel so lucky, happy and blessed that we are able to get pregnant and have a happy and healthy little girl so I’m just thrilled."
The Bray native said she most likely will show off her little girl on social media when she arrives.
"It’s so hard. I think I will because I think she’s going to be the cutest thing in the world. It would be hard not to. I just think she’ll be a mini Charlie to be honest."
And Blathnaid also revealed the couple have already chosen a name – paying tribute to several family members.
"We do have a name but we’re not going to reveal anything yet. Is it out of the ordinary? Yeah maybe, a little bit. It’s not too wacky. It’s a cute name.
"Yes, and they love the name. We have a first name and middle name, and they are both a homage to some family members."
