A pregnant mum, her husband and her two young children were killed when their mini-van was hit head on by a car going the wrong way down a busy road.
Melodi Boivin, 21, and Xavier Caballero, 23, were pronounced dead at the scene and their two babies Marcellus Bolvin, two, and Lezlie Caballero, one, died after being rushed to hospital.
The crash between the mini-van and the SUV, which wiped out the whole family, happened on the freeway in Lubbock, Texas, in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Xavier was driving their mini-van on the freeway when they were hit head-on by an SUV.
Police have said the SUV driver, 46-year-old George Wallace, was travelling on the wrong side of the road when he hit the family.
Wallace was also killed in the crash near Marsha Sharp Freeway and Upland Avenue in Lubbock.
The two children were in car seats at the back of the mini-van at the time of the crash.
Melodi's unborn child also died in the crash, police said.
A GoFundMe set up to support the vicitm's families reads: "My name is Kittye Tannery and am creating this fund for a close family friend Janice.
"Janice’s Granddaughter Melodi, Melodie’s husband Xavier, and their two babies, were all involved in a fatal head on collision.
"Four funerals are a lot and I know Janice will appreciate any help we can give.
"ALL funds will go to funeral.
"Please keep the family in your prayers as they mourn the loss of Melodi Boivin, Xavier Caballero, Marcellus Boivin, Lezlie Caballero and Melodi and Xavier's unborn baby."
As news of the horrific crash spread, tributes began to pour in for the victims.
One family member said o Facebook: "Melodi Boivin you will be missed my beautiful cousin I can't believe you are gone your a wonderful woman may u and your babies rest in peace."
Another cousin said: "Melodi was the greatest cousin and a wonderful a bright little girl in this picture but that was years ago and I was so proud of how grown up she became she was so beautiful and sweet.
"I haven't seen her in along time but I know that she loves her family and my aunt Jen she is the greatest mom and aunt ever and I've been crying since I found out even been going to work trying to smile it's hard but I know that she is in a better place looking down on all of us."
Another wrote about Xavier: "Still in shock. Xavier Caballero you were a great friend whom I shared many memories with. Doesn’t feel real. Rest easy old friend."
