Laura Anderson is said to be devastated after ex Gary Lucy announced their unborn baby’s gender without talking to her first.
Earlier this month, the pregnant former Love Island star, 33, admitted that not only did she know the baby’s gender, she had already chosen a name, but didn’t feel ready to share it with the world yet.
Speaking to Goss.ie, Anderson said: “I know what I’m having and I have a name.
“I will share in due course… I’ve already done a small [gender reveal party], but I’ve not shared it publicly yet. But I will soon.”
It’s believed that she and Lucy - who split in February following a whirlwind romance after meeting on Celebs Go Dating last September - had been planning to reveal the gender news together, until he got in there first.
Taking to Instagram, Lucy – who has four children from a previous relationship – uploaded a picture of a scan and another image which read: “Daddy’s Girl” alongside the words: “For everyone that has been asking... Let’s hope she inherits her mummy’s looks.”
He also captioned the post: “Thanks for all the lovely messages from everyone… so excited to meet my little baby bear soon!” However, he turned the comments for the post off.
A source close to Anderson told the Standard: “Gary announced the gender news without getting Laura’s consent. She’s really upset by this”.
The Standard has contacted a representative for Gary Lucy for comment.
