Laura Anderson has hit out at cruel trolls for abusing her online following her pregnancy announcement. The Love Island alum admitted she is in a vulnerable state and told her 1.5million Instagram followers that she would be blocking anyone who had anything negative to say on her posts.
Laura, 33, is expecting her first child with former Hollyoaks actor Gary Lucy. The couple met while filming the most recent series of Celebs Go Dating and embarked on a whirlwind romance after falling for each other on the show.
The Scots beauty announced she was expecting her first child with ex Gary on February 15, after weeks of speculation regarding their relationship.
Following Laura's announcement, he confirmed the split to The Sun, saying: "I love Laura but we are no longer together. My main drive as always is to work together to co-parent our child. I look forward to the arrival of the new baby."
After noticing a slew of negative comments on her profile, with many concerning to her ex partner, Laura told fans she would instantly block anyone who said anything negative about her pregnancy, adding that she is not a 'victim even in my vulnerable state'.
She wrote: "If anyone writes anything negative on my page re my pregnancy you will be blocked. Nobody on here except my friends and family knows the reality regarding the past few months of my life because I don't comment on press articles or give details of any other party.
"I will never play the victim even in my vulnerable state. I'm simply moving on with my life with my head held high. I do not appreciate abuse at a time I am trying my best to protect myself and my unborn child. Please think before typing."
Taking to social media last week, Laura shared a video montage of her baby bump, which included several snaps of Gary, and wrote on Instagram: "Our hearts are full. Baby Lucy due Summer ‘23."
Gary commented on the sweet montage: "There she is. So very proud of you Mummy Bear. Cooking Baby Bear perfectly."
