Kelly Osbourne has revealed she’s expecting a baby boy with Slipknot rocker Sid Wilson, 45.
The 37-year-old, who announced her pregnancy back in May, said that her dad Ozzy Osbourne, 73, had already let the cat out of the bag with all his friends.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the TV star said: “I mean, he’s [Dad] told everyone.... the gender of my baby before I ever got the chance to, and I’m just like, ‘Aww Dad, come on. Like, come on,’ but I will say, every single day he does this little song and this little dance about how excited he is, and he is so excited that it’s a boy.
“It’s the first out of me and my brother, it’s the first boy, so, he’s like planning all these things."
Osbourne added that both her parents, Ozzy and Sharon, have been supporting her “every step of the way” of her pregnancy.
Her announcement comes days after she revealed she was diagnosed with gestational diabetes in her third trimester.
The former MTV star explained she knew something was wrong when she started to experience rapid weight gain, severe fatigue, and ankle swelling in recent weeks.
The TV personality added that she had to plead with doctors to examine her symptoms and was then told she had developed gestational diabetes.
The disorder occurs when a person can’t make enough insulin during their pregnancy, and can lead to complications before or during birth, including dangerous pre-eclampsia.
Osbourne admitted she felt guilty after receiving the diagnosis, believing “it was something that I had done” but is on the right track since her diagnosis.
She told People: “I only got diagnosed with it well into my third trimester, so it wasn’t like I developed it as some people get it from the get-go when they’re pregnant. I got it in my third trimester and, basically, I thought it was something that I had done wrong.”
The TV star said that she has now cut sugar from her diet after craving it like she had “never had before,” and noticed the difference immediately, although she did initially suffer with headaches due to the “shock to the system”.
Osbourne even revealed that her pregnancy acne cleared up as a result from cutting sugar out.
She shared: “My friends that haven’t seen me since I started my third trimester, now that they see me, they’re like, ‘Whoa. What changed? Your skin is perfect,’ and I know that sometimes that has to do with pregnancy, but I had pregnancy acne. I cut the sugar out and it completely went away.”
The Osbournes star also detailed that her shift in diet has had a positive influence on all aspects of her wellbeing.
“I just have more energy. I’m sleeping better,” she continued. “You don’t realise what it’s doing to you until you take it away, is all I can say.”
