Lucy Fallon has joked about herself looking younger than she really is as she prepares to welcome her first child. The former Coronation Street star headed out to do some shopping for some baby essentials after revealing last month that she's already five months pregnant.
She shared how she is expecting her first child with boyfriend Ryan Ledson after their love blossomed during lockdown after they met on celebrity dating app Raya. The loved-up coupld announced the news to OK! Magazine, revealing that they had been keeping the news a secret for months.
And now Lucy is getting ready to welcome her and Ryan's little one into the world, one purchase at a time. Taking to Instagram, the 26-year-old shared a snap of herself beaming while clinging to a newly purchased, dark green pushchair. "I know I look 15 in this picture but we picked our pram and I feel like this officially makes me an adult," she typed alongside the sweet image.
Lucy, who looked comfy and casual in a pair of black leggings and a cream hoodie worn underneath a leather jacket, went on to add: "And obviously we went for the @eggstrolleruk in olive green from @direct4baby and I’m crying actual real life tears. A real life baby is gunna chill in here."
Lucy's former Corrie co-star Helen Flanagan was among the first to respond to her latest pregnancy update, writing: "Ah babe," while Brooke Vincent, who starred in the ITV soap as Helen's on-screen sister, simply added a string of faces with heart eye emojis.
And it appears her followers were supportive of her choice. @bowers_elizabeth said: "Aww congratulations. Love the colour of your pram." @claire_riseborough commented: "Congratulations, exciting times ahead. We have this pram and love it! You won’t regret choosing it I am sure."
@allforcorrie posted: "You are the coolest mum ever! Honestly, I think you are going to be brilliant and look at that pram! Such a brilliant colour too!!" @misscharbanks shared: "It’s a milestone day picking the pram. May you enjoy many a long stroll with your baby." @brimajordan added: "Awww so beautiful. Congratulations."
Lucy also shared the snap to her Instagram Story and it appears the milestone is making things more real for the mum-to-be. "Holy s**t we have a pram," she said.
Earlier this month, Lucy looked 'glowing' as she shared a new batch of photos with her blossoming baby bump. The actress posed in the autumn sunshine during a trip to London and looked sensational in a black midi dress worn with a smart black coat and chunky black boots as she met up with a friend.
Lucy and Ryan's joyous baby news comes after Lucy, who played Bethany in Corrie from 2015 to 2020, suffered a tragic miscarriage earlier this year. The couple had gone for a private scan when Lucy was seven weeks for some early reassurance after the news came as a “massive shock and surprise." After being referred to hospital they were dealt the devastating blow that Lucy had miscarried.
Lucy and Ryan are now looking to the future after their devastating experience with their bundle of joy due on February 2, 2023. "We’re very fortunate that it happened again for us," said Lucy, who took a pregnancy test while on a trip to the Maldives. "We weren’t putting pressure on it and I was trying not to put pressure on myself and then it just ended up happening that way for us. It was obviously just meant to happen."
