Michigan State basketball heads to Atlanta on Tuesday night in a major matchup with the top-ranked team in the country.
The Spartans will battle No. 1 Kansas in the Champions Classic annual event on Tuesday night. This will be the first of two games in the event, with Kentucky-Duke following as the night cap.
Michigan State comes into this matchup with a 2-0 record after a pair of blowout victories last week against Monmouth and Niagara. Kansas is also 2-0 on the year but with a more notable victory over top 10 North Carolina.

Michigan State vs. Kansas prediction, pick
Kansas is the No. 1 team in the country for a reason (well, many reasons), and I fear those will be on display in this game. I expect the Spartans to hang around in this one but the Jayhawks will be too much — especially in the paint — for Michigan State to pull the upset.
Prediction: Michigan State 71, Kansas 81
