Predicted Liverpool XI for Arsenal with six changes from Chelsea draw

Liverpool will be looking to keep their faint hopes of finishing in the top four alive when they host Arsenal on Sunday.

The Reds are currently 10 points adrift of Manchester United, who currently occupy the final Champions League place with 10 matches of the season remaining.

Jurgen Klopp once again looks as though he will make a number of changes to his starting XI for the visit of table topping Arsenal, with Trent Alexander-Arnold, Andy Robertson, Mo Salah and Virgil van Dijk all having been left out of the midweek draw at Chelsea.

Van Dijk was the only one of the aforementioned quartet to miss out completely at Stamford Bridge, but he looks as though he has recovered from illness and so is likely to return at centre back.

Alexander-Arnold and Robertson, meanwhile, were both dropped to the bench after disappointing performances in the 4-1 defeat at Manchester City last weekend, but Klopp will be hoping they are well rested ahead of some tasty looking duels against the likes of Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka.

The full back pair are expected to replace Joe Gomez and Konstantinos Tsimikas, with Ibrahima Konate making up the rest of the back four ahead of Joel Matip.

Curtis Jones was handed his first start since October in the capital on Tuesday night, but he is almost certainly set to make away, with Harvey Elliott the most likely to come in, despite Thiago Alcantara's return to the squad.

A double change could also arrive in the front three against the Gunners, with Cody Gakpo and Salah replacing Roberto Firmino and Diogo Jota, despite the latter having been kept back from training on Thursday as a precaution.
