Prateek Yadav dies of pulmonary thromboembolism, postmortem report reveals; samples sent for further analysis

Prateek Yadav, son of late Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav and husband of BJP leader Aparna Yadav, passed away earlier today in Lucknow. He was 38 years old. The postmortem report has now shed light on the cause of death.

According to the report from King George's Medical University in Lucknow, the cause of death has been identified as “cardiorespiratory collapse due to massive pulmonary thromboembolism.”

The report also noted the presence of six “antemortem” (before-death) injuries on his body.

It further stated that the heart and pulmonary thromboembolic material have been preserved in formalin for histopathological examination, while viscera samples have been preserved for chemical analysis and handed over to the concerned authorities.

Prateek Yadav’s sudden demise has drawn attention given his prominent political family background, with condolences pouring in from across the political spectrum.

Prateek was the half-brother of former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav. According to reports, he was brought to the hospital around 6:15 am, where he was declared dead.
